The Sheriff's Office is responsible for enforcing state and county laws within the county.
Reports of, and investigation of, theft, vandalism, assault, illegal drug activity, reported child and/or domestic abuse, accidents and all other criminal allegations.
Deputies are also responsible for the enforcement of traffic laws.
The Sheriff’s Office patrols the 437 square miles of the county and is the chief law enforcement for the cities of Coppock, Hillsboro, Lowell, Mount Union, Oakland Mills, Olds, Rome, Salem, Swedesburg, Trenton, Westwood,and all other unincorporated areas of Henry County.
The Sheriff’s Office houses the Henry County Jail and is the main detention facility of Henry County. The Sheriff’s Office provides 24-hour dispatching of Law Enforcement, Fire, First Responders and EMS Services within Henry County
